Joanie and Tim have one of the most unique and creative engagement stories I have ever heard. When I first met with them, I was in awe how Tim proposed.
Joanie and Tim are both avid runners. Running brought the two together when they met through a track club in Boston, MA. They began meeting for lunchtime runs along the river in Boston, and so their relationship evolved. It seemed only fitting, and perfect, for running to be a part of their engagement story.
When Tim thought about how to propose he created a virtual route for Joanie and Tim to run using online maps and GPS. On July 28, 2012, Tim and Joanie went for their run along roads that had special meaning to their relationship, ending at the New England Aquarium’s Sea Lion tank, another area the couple loved.
When Tim showed Joanie on his phone the route than just ran, it read “Marry Me”.
The creativity, planning, and mapping out this route, makes this engagement story one for the books.
I am so happy to be photographing their wedding. Here are some images from their engagement session, again, along places that have special meaning to Tim and Joanie.
Congratulations Tim and Joanie!!
